I really enjoy reading posts where people celebrate the good things in their lives. I've been thinking about doing this for a while, (inspired by Sofia) so I might as well start now! I'll just post little things at a time,  but they won't have a set time/day or anything :)

Hot Chocolate This is such a perfect drink for Winter. I'm not a coffee lover, and it was a shame because I always fancied a nice drink in a mug to keep me warm :) I squirt some cream on the top and add some marshmallows on the side which I can pop in when the cream is eaten and the marshmallows can melt :)
Its so nice to have it in Starbucks too, just so perfect for me to look out the window at the cold, wind blown people outside whilst I am enjoying a delicous hot choc! I've mentioned this before, but it's such a perfect image of Winter for me!

Electric Blanket The temperature seems to have dropped alot in these past few weeks (even a threat of snow this week?!) and despite the many layers of bed clothes, including a dressing gown, I wear in bed, I still seem to be cold! So my trusty electric blanket has been a godsend this week! So so nice to snuggle in a warm bed reading a magazine before falling asleep.

My part time job As much as I complain and grumble about going to work, I really am grateful to have a little job. I think I tend to take it for granted that my bank gets paid into every month, and even though I work hard for it, I dont really appreciate that it means I dont have to worry too much. I'd like to try feeling more thankful for my job and a little less moaning about my shifts would be good for me :)

Friends I guess this one is a bit of a cliche but I really am thankful for all the lovely people in my life. My closest friends I have only known since the beginning of university last year, and it is amazing how much they mean to me and how it feels like we have known each other for so long.  I hope they realise how much I love them, and even though they don't read my blog (or even know it exists) I want to make sure they know it! I think handmade Christmas presents and little notes in their Christmas cards would be really sweet :)

My Car My little Gracie! I am very thankful for my car, she runs perfectly and I haven't had any problems with her since I bought her! Goodness, that reminds me, it is my year anniversary since I passed my driving test today! Wow, that is another thing I am thankful for! I remember just being so relieved when I had passed! It was emotional for me, I really didn't enjoy my driving lessons, it was such a stressful experience! I am glad it only took 4 months for me to pass. Its not that I didnt like my driving instructor, but just the thought of having a driving lesson upset me! Whilst on them though, I was ok :) It was just so annoying having to pay such a large amount of money on something I absolutely detested! lol! Anyway, I am thankful that part of my life is over! Gosh I sound so dramatic, haha!

My Opportunities Sometimes I wonder what would have happened, and where I would be if I had chosen a different path, or been given another route. Of course I dont wish that things were different, I am very thankful for my life and the opportunities I have had. Sharp eyed readers may have noticed that being in my second year of university I should be 19/20 by now, when infact I only turned 18 in July. When I was 11, I was put in to an express set, which just meant I did things a year early than everyone else. It was a program my school used to do, with about 30 of us in the year, so its not like I was a genius or anything! Anyway, I never got to choose to do this, it was just automatic really. I know my parents thought that express sets were a bad idea. It was alot of pressure to do GCSE's at 14, and still have the pressure to get all high grades. I sometimes think if I did things at the normal age, I would be doing something different with my life? I am glad of the path that has been laid out for me. I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, and I know that God has everything planned out. Besides, if I had gone to university at the normal time, I would never have met the amazing people that are in my life now!

I hoped you enjoyed this post girlies. I didnt realise how much I would write, so I'm sorry if I have rambled! I was thinking of getting a Formspring account actually, but I don't want to set one up if no one asks questions! What do you all think? Do you have any questions you would like to ask me?
Love to you all,
Katie

P.S. Do you like the new header? It's much more me and I love it :) I want to make this blog a bit more 'designy' if that makes sense, I am a graphic design student after all!) I also changed the button on the left there, so if you have the old one, feel free to change!
