Sunday Roundup #6

This week has been good. I had a lovely time off university but it has gone way too quick. Although, it didn't really feel like a complete week off, because I had an hour lecture on Wednesday, but hey. I have started reading again, and loving it. I am still procrastinating, a new years resolution I really need to work on. I would have made it even if it wasn't for New Years, I am such a slacker! If anyone has any motivation techniques, please send them my way! I will be starting new projects at university this week, properly that is, so I need to get in to the swing of things so I don't fall behind.

I finished my best friend's Christmas present finally! I crocheted her a Totoro. She loves Studio Ghibli and she got me into Miyazaki's films too :) Now I'm looking at it, about to wrap it up, I wonder if it's a bit lame? My Mum said I should have put a weight in the bottom so it could be a doorstop, that would have been cool. I think I'll make her wait to open the present, does anyone else get nervous if you have made a present for someone? Or is that just me?

My room is impeccably tidy today, and I have a small pile of work to do for uni. I will probably spend this afternoon reading and listening to this song, because it's stuck on repeat. I know it's a Christmas song, but it is so lovely! I wish it didn't have the words Christmas in it, then I wouldn't feel a bit funny to the fact I am listening christmas songs in January. September is usually when I start! Haha, just kidding. Kinda. Happy Sunday to you all. Love, Katie xoxo

  3. Oh god! That Totoro is SO cute, I can't believe you made it. I'm sure you're friend would love it - I know I would.. and I'm not even a fan! I always get so nervous giving people gifts whether I made them or bought them.

I wish I could listen to the pogues - fairytale of new york all year round. It's my favourite Christmas song and one of my favourite songs ever. My manager at work is counting down the days to Christmas already!!

  5. Cherry - I know! Always the way!
Denise - Haha, we can always try, and hope no one picks up on it :p
Charlene - Aw thank you! Ah that is definitely one of my fav Christmas songs too! Unfortunately I think it is way too mainstream for us to get away with listening to it all year haha. Wow! If I did that, people would think I'm crazy!
Zoet - Thanks, and I totally agree! Wow thank you so much for the award! :)

  8. That Totoro is SO cute, I bet your friend will be over the moon when she receives that! I know I would be! I was going to have a go at making a felt Totoro for my friend but that will be a lot easier than crocheting one - well done you!
