Weekly thanks

As mentioned Monday, here is the second feature I'm introducing to the blog. Well, it's not entirely new, as I did a post last November too but I'd really like to turn this into a weekly thing. I think it is so easy to get carried away with the bad things, and a lot of things that are good in our lives can get overlooked and ignored. So, in order to remember the good things, I'm going to do weekly posts of some things I feel thankful for :)

Hot water - Definitely a thing I take for granted. We had some problems with heating this month, and taking a shower which suddenly turns cold is no fun! Having to boil a kettle to run a bath is such a monotonous job, and it made me realise how easy it is to just be able to turn a tap and out comes lovely hot water.

My car - this came up in November's post too. My parents have had to buy a new car this month because there's broke down unexpectedly and needed to be sold for spares and repairs. I am so thankful that my car (touch wood) is a reliable little thing, and so far, I haven't had any problems with it at all.

My parents - My relationship with my parents have been a bit rocky, particularly this past week. I know we all have problems with our parents, big or small, and they can drive us up the wall but I really would be lost without them. I feel bad now, about how I can treat them sometimes because when it comes to the end of the day, they will always be there for you to look after you, even if they make you mad sometimes.

My boyfriend - Next week marks our 2 months. I know it isn't long, but he has made a big impact in my life. I wonder how I have changed since we have been together. He has helped me grow in confidence and he makes me feel so happy, and as I don't want this to be soppy, lame-o lovey dovey blogpost, I'll just round this up with the fact I don't know what I would do without him. Funny how someone can make such a huge impact in just a short amount of time.

Money - I am pretty lucky to work for a company that gives bonuses, as I know a lot don't. The extra money this month was very useful, as I had my car tax due and also so many birthdays to pay for. My boyfriends, friends, brothers, and sister's are all coming up in the first few weeks of April, as well asMother's Day so it couldn't have come at a better time. My brother and sister's birthday is this weekend , and we are having a family BBQ Saturday and going paintballing on Sunday. Needless to say, I am very nervous! I'd like to say I'll go out there, all guns blazing and beating all the boys but I expect I'll be hiding in the corner scared to get bruised!

Bed - Finally, to round up this post is the ultra simple, but very much needed, bed. It's nice to have a place to cuddle up in the warmth and relax in at the end of the day. I am thankful because I know I take this for granted, I mean, there are a lot of homeless people who don't even have a proper bed, and I think furniture we have can be taken for granted very easily.

Hope you liked this post my lovelies! I am staying around the other half's tonight, but I have a monthly round-up post to do that I'd like to share tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get that sorted, seen as I have a pretty busy weekend ahead! Love, Katie xoxo

  1. I'm definitely grateful for hot water as well. Our gas is always running out and I'm forever having cold showers, it's horrible!
