Longest Year

Eek I can't believe how fast October is flying by! University is back in full swing and taking up all my time. I have a crazy amount of work already and it's not going to die down anytime soon but I guess that's third year for you. I'm trying to get back into the routine of doing work but I'm a very good procrastinator! Seen as my work has to be done on a computer,it means it's so easy to just go online and read blogs, and I'm very good at wasting my day online! Oh internet, you are such a distraction!

Anyway, once I sort my routine out for balancing uni with work and a social life, I should be blogging a bit more. Just need to adjust and procrastinate way less. I feel like I have so many things I want to achieve aswell as doing well in university and just no time to do it! I always find something else to waste my time on and seem to push the things I want to do for me to the side. Need more hours in the day please! Do you guys have any tips on self motivation? xo

  1. To do lists. I swear by them. Even if I don't tick everything off at once at least I know I'm making progress.

Creating a schedule/calendar for everything that needs to be done and having it as your desktop background.

Third year is always tough, especially if it's your last year. The dissertation is the most time consuming, but often worth it in the end.

Good luck in your third year of uni!

  2. I love the internet but it is such a time sucker! I make a rule to just give myself, say, an hour and then switch off.

Lists, but achievable ones, I work in 3's, only 3 things per list, don't make it too long or unachievable.

Finally, reward yourself!! :D If you've written your essay for example, reward yourself with an hour reading blogs or some other treat! :)

And remember, it all works out in the end anyway, so don't stress it! :D xx
