Marshmallow Whoopie Pie

I don't know if it's just me, but I've always thought of Whoopie Pies as an American thing. I don't see many being made over here, with cupcakes and cookies always being made in abundance instead.

And I don't know why I haven't made them before. They're delicious! They look like a cookies but they're cakey in the middle. I used the recipe from here, and they were really easy to make. If you haven't checked out Sorted Food already, I highly recommend them! I typed up the recipe on my typewriter and I'm planning on making a little personal recipe book at somepoint and displaying the typewritten pieces along with a photo. I'll do a DIY of that here on the blog once I've got enough recipes under my belt!

I filled most of mine with marshmallow fluff which was delicious! You can fill them with nutella, or chocolate spread or whatever you fancy really! They are incredibly moorish, so be warned!

  3. I really want to make whoopie pies, I agree about not seeing them much here. I've got a hummingbird bakery cookbook which has lots of recipes of them in. Where did you get buttermilk? xxx

    1. Oh I've heard really good things about the Hummingbird Bakery's books :) And I made some! All you do is add a tablespoon of lemonjuice to a cup full of milk, leave it for 5 minutes and use as much as you like! I couldn't find any in the supermarket and this worked great :) xx

  9. These look so delicious! I am on holiday at the moment but when I get back to aengland I will definitely be making them! I will try my best to email you the picture too :) I love how you've presented the recipe of a piece of paper on a typewriter, would you mind if I asked you how you did that? It looks so professional and I would love to be able to recreate things in this kind of style too! Thank you.
I love your blog so much! It's the perfect confection of fashio, lifestyle, reviews and food! It's so unique and for me, your blog really stands out from all the other blogs. You are also such a talented and eloquent writer! I am definitely your newest follower! I would love it if you could perhaps follow me back too? :)

  10. Pour the marshmallow mixture into the prepared pan. This is pretty darn messy and STICKY. Stay strong! I try to pour it into the pan as evenly as possible.
