Pour O'Clock!

blog_health_lifestyle_water_brita

I don't know about you, but I really struggle with drinking enough water. I'm often told to drink more, not only for my health but also my skin, concentration and to help keep hunger at bay too! I find downing a pint helps my chronic headaches too, which is always a plus!

Despite the huge list of benefits, I still don't drink enough. I drink many cups of tea at work but I'm trying to make a more conscientious effort to drink more water. Brita have a new initiative to encourage healthier workplace habits as they found over half of people are too busy to drink enough water. 'PourOClock' aims to fix this - their research found that 4pm is the time that most people need an energy boost and, rather than reaching for a sugary snack (that is oh so tempting) to grab a glass of water instead.

I've been pretty good at eating healthier snacks such as fruit when I'm in the office, and for the next few weeks I'll be watching my water intake too. I think it's super important and rather easy to combat by having a water bottle read to go on your desk. To help give you a quick start, I've teamed up with Brita to offer one of you guys a rather stylish Fill&Go bottle to drink on the go. To win, simply enter via the Rafflebox below. I'll be closing this in a week, and be sure to give me a tweet if you'll be giving #PourOClock a go too!

  1. I used to be pretty good at drinking 2 liters of water a day when I was at work. To be honest I mainly drank my daily intake in my breaks but I felt amazing.
Now I'm on maternity leave I'm terrible! I'm also breastfeeding so should be drinking more water than ever but I always forget and I'm lucky if I drink 2 glasses a day.
I adore that cup by the way. It's aorable!

  2. I really, really don't drink enough water - I'm better during the week at work, but once the weekend comes along, it goes straight out the window. Unless the tonic counts in a G&T?!

  11. I'm terrible at drinking enough water, so I've now bought some flavoured water to try and encourage me to drink more. It seems to be helping a bit!

  20. I have recently bought a Brita kettle and although I was sceptical I really notice the difference! Would love a Brita water bottle for when I am out and about ( I am very thrifty and hate buying water !!)
