2015 resolutions

It’s been a while since I last posted on here, but it feels like a lifetime! With Christmas having approached me far too fast and feeling a little overwhelmed with the amount of work I needed to do, blogging took a back seat. Work was pretty mental and there wasn’t enough time, or motivation to get myself going in the evenings. I’m looking forward to a new year, 2014 had it’s ups and downs and I’m hoping for a happier 2015. I had two wonderful, and much needed, weeks off over Christmas which helped me clear my head a bit so I’m beginning they year in a much better mindset than I left the last one in. It’s funny how quickly things can go downhill, but as they say, it takes a bit longer to put things back together than it does to fall apart.

I’m starting to feel more motivated, hopeful and inspired for the new year and I can’t wait to get organised and stuck in with making this blog something im really proud of. As it’s the tradition and I do love a few goals, I thought I’d share my main resolutions for the year.




Step out my comfort zone...

The year started really well on this front, but then I got comfortable. If I don’t push myself even a little bit, I find myself regressing in to the anxiety that’s plagued me the last few months. I’m eager not to let my fears get in the way of life anymore, and try and push through. I just need to stop being afraid and start doing things despite that. It sounds easier written down than actually doing it though!


Be more creative...

I guess this sounds a bit silly considering I have a creative job as a graphic designer. I’ve found I’ve let work take over a bit and I don’t spend the free time I have being productive or doing things I enhoy. I love painting and scrapbooking – I used to share my sketchbook and journal pages back in the early days of the blog when I was at college/uni, but then I stopped making time and grown-up things got in the way. Anyway, I’m determined to make time and get back in to it and I’m looking forward to share more of this on the blog.


Exercise again...

I have been a major slacker this last month. I need to bite the bullet and get back to my personal trainer with my head hung in shame because I’ve not been keeping up with training! I’m also looking forward to the spring/summer months so I can get back out on the bike.

Thanks so much for sticking by and supporting this little blog. I’ve always had big plans and ideas and, as always, am hoping 2015 will be the year I overcome the hurdles that get in my way – both with life stuff, and the blog.   2. It's so hard to find the energy to do personal work when you have lots of normal work to do - i know the feeling! I also can't wait for the spring/summer months to ride my bike - every time I plan a bike ride it gets dark by 4pm and it looks so cold out! Thank you for your kind words on my blog post, I'm glad you like my new design :)
