New home, little peeks

I suppose it’s not so new now, but considering we’ll be here for a long time, I guess it still is in the grand scheme of things! I finally got round to taking some photos of our home, and thought I’d share. I’m making a Project Life layout to document our move and thought you might like to see my favourite little areas of our home! We moved from our one-bed flat into a lovely little 2 bed dormer bungalow in October. There’s so much more space and storage, and best of all – a lot more light. Oh, and a garden! I’m a little bit in love with our new home, it’s perfect for the two of us (and little Loki). We’ve made the downstairs bedroom in to a study as Graham often works from home and I need some space to store all my craft stuff! I think the main thing that made us fall in love with the house was the kitchen. I wouldn’t usually go for this style (I’m usually more inclined to traditional, wooden worktops etc whereas Graham loves ultra-modern) but I think the glossy units work really well with the house. The KMix I got for Christmas is the perfect red shade, and of course we matched our kettle and toaster too (though I thought they were a bit boring to photograph!)

I've only taken a few snaps of little corners of our home but as we decorate and add more pieces, I am sure I will share the bigger picture. I will be doing a full room tour of the lounge very soon though, as that's the only room that’s finished! We painted it and got new carpet, so it's definitely the space that’s had the most attention. Next on our project list is a new suite in the downstairs loo, plus a lick of paint and some nautical decorations... obviously. I hope you liked the little photos today, lots more interior focused posts coming up in the next few weeks :)

Keep your eye on the blog in the next few weeks for a full living room tour and some tips for keeping your interiors on trend for 2015!
